Tata Motors zeroing in on the production facility for its Rs. 1 lakh ($2300 approx.) car
DNA: Tata Motors (NYSE: TTM) seems to be going along with its ambitious plan to build a Rs. 1 lakh car. At approximately, $2300 (approx.) the feat would be amazing if it is successful. Although no final decision has been made yet, the Tatas have zeroed in on Pantnagar in Uttaranchal as a possible production site to build the car. The company is, in fact, considering proposals made by four states, which include Uttaranchal, Karnataka, Punjab and West Bengal.
